08 Nov Coat? Check!
It’s officially time to cover up in Kingston, and honestly, I can’t say that I’m sad about it. The winter coats I’ve been seeing this season are simply beautiful, and I can’t wait for the day that I’m donning a jacket on the daily. I’ve been on the hunt for my it jacket- you know, the coat that looks just as good in the library as it does out on the town (but is really, really hard to find.) Though I have yet to make my big purchase (these things take time!) I figured that I should share with you some of the fabulous coats that I’ve spotted along the way- because really, I just can’t have them all. Here’s a round up of the coats I’ve been coveting from my favourite brands, in the most wearable styles:
Fur (or faux fur!) jackets offer loads of luxe appeal, but the real draw is in their versatility. They look just as chic with relaxed boyfriend jeans as they do with a pair of leather leggings, so you can do no wrong.
A plaid or checked coat can add a whole lot of fun to those dreary winter days. Pair this coat with easy, simple basics and let the pattern make a statement.
The Boys Club Coat
Less is more with this androgynous, oversized style, which is destined to be a winter coat classic. Choose this coat in a neutral colour, and you’ll never run out of ways to wear it.
The Classic Parka
The cold is snow problem (see what I did there?) when you’ve got a parka to keep you warm. The longer style, oversized fur hood and endless colour options make this the perfect everyday coat that can just as easily be taken out for a night on the town.
The Winterized Biker Jacket
Zipper detailing, quilted sleeves and all-leather-everything in a 3/4 length style are key to winterizing your favourite fall staple, so you can carry that bad gal attitude into the winter months.
